Core's Summer School 2021

Using Mediation Skills as Leaders and Professionals

The Course

We are hosting our final Summer School residentially from Sunday 29 August (from 4pm) to Wednesday 1 September (no later than 5pm).

The venue will be the beautifully situated Carberry Tower Mansion House and Estate, just to the east of Edinburgh.

A three hour Orientation Workshop will take place online on one evening about ten days in advance which will serve as an introduction to the course.

The Summer School will be led by John Sturrock with support from our highly regarded team of coaches. There will be a large amount of practical workshop activity throughout the course and participants will be encouraged to spend time in the evenings reading, reflecting, conversing, dining and planning for the following day.  Course materials will be available online using a dedicated website.

Read more about the Summer School on the course’s main page here.

Fees

The fee for the Summer School is £2475 plus VAT.

This rate includes use of all facilities, dinner, bed and breakfast for the duration of the Summer School.

The fee will be payable by Friday 16 July, refundable in the event that Covid restrictions prevent us from proceeding.  Places are offered on a first come, first served basis and the course may be filled before 16 July.

Registration

Registration for this course is now closed.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

  • If an invoice for a special rate is not paid by the due date, a further invoice for the outstanding sum will be sent immediately to the participant for payment by return.
  • Because we work with small numbers of participants, we regret that, in the event of cancellation within 12 weeks of the start date of the course, we are unable to refund the fee. However, a place is fully transferable to another person without charge at any time up to 72 hours before the course.
  • A prior cancellation entitles the participant to a 50% refund.
  • We also regret that we cannot refund any part of the fee if a participant is unable to complete the course for any reason nor can we transfer a registration between courses.
  • We reserve the right to alter the programme and change the course leaders.
  • We reserve the right to postpone the assessment stage if insufficient numbers are registered to make it viable.

Mediator Assessment and Certification

For those who which to proceed to mediator assessment and certification we shall also be offering up to 12 spaces on our non-residential assessment stage, running over 4 days in the week of 25 October, with two training days on the Monday and Tuesday and assessment days on the Thursday and Friday of that week.

If you are interested in this, please contact Paula.Cumming@core-solutions.com for more details. Again, places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
